Which calendars show up?

Turn off any calendar you don't want the family to see, and pick its color. New calendars start with the color they have in Google Calendar — set your own anytime, it'll stick.

Color-code events for kids

For family members who log in as a kid (like Hallie), any calendar event whose title matches one of these keywords shows up in this color with this emoji instead of the usual calendar color — so she can tell what's what without reading. Separate multiple words that mean the same thing with commas, e.g. "soccer, practice, game". Parents always see the normal calendar colors; this never changes what you see.

Daily routine

Build a checklist that shows up on someone's Day view every day at the times you set — separate from Google Calendar. Each item can apply to every day, just school days, just weekends, or any custom combination of days.
